HOW SHORT IS TIME! (Working Draft)
Once, he would lie enthralled
by his beloved’s sleeping form
now, when he visits her, he fears
that any present sleep
may also be the final one.
He knows that she deserves
perpetual rest
that which her faith knows
as eternal life
